The Canadian Coalition of Community-Based Employability Training (CCCBET) has released a statement in light of the fast-approaching federal election.
There has been much discussion surrounding the political candidates’ platforms on the economy but very little on their policies regarding their employment and training goals in communities across Canada. This position paper contains a set of questions members can pose to their local candidates, two recommendations on what Canada needs to do in order to confront the challenges youth face daily in the rapidly changing economy and labour market, and views on how an active partnership with government and employment service providers can greatly contribute to an enhanced delivery system.
The full position paper can be found on the official CCCBET website.
