Futures remains Canada’s largest professional development opportunity for those working with young people seeking employment, bringing together 375 delegates from 100 youth employment counselling centres, colleges, government, the private and public sectors, and other community-based organizations from across the country.
Through facilitated networking sessions, social events, and a flexible schedule, you and your staff will leave the conference a stronger, and more knowledgeable and connected team.

New this year, everyone can book their accommodations directly through Blue Mountain. To see the available rooms and the discounted rates, please click here.

Your organization is accountable to deliver a wide range of government funded programs. Those on your team facing this challenge will gain inspiration and confidence by attending Futures 2015.

This year’s conference will feature:
  • Two workshops outlining best practices in Bridging OW with EO services. Reach those clients, achieve those targets and bring some of the hardest-to-employ Ontarian’s successfully into the workforce.
  • Federal Youth Skills Link and other programs – updated and explained to help your organization develop unique programs and mobilize support for marginalized youth.
  • Experience Ontario and new high-school Entrepreneurship programs – explained and discussed with senior Ministry of Education staff.
  • Working Together to Advance the Career Development Profession in Ontario – a workshop that delves into the certification history, processes, benefits, and requirements to become a certified Career Development Professional in Ontario.
  • MTCU Update – our annual forthright conversation of MTCU programs dripping with insight and galvanized by First Work member facilitation and questions. The soon-to-be launched Youth Skills Connection and other razor’s edge topics will be open for your best questions.
With 40 workshops to choose from, delegates can target their learning to their specific skill set and program administration challenges.

Register today to invest in your team and to ensure first choice from this year's roster of engaging workshops and inspiring events!

In addition to best practices working with youth, achieving personal wellness and building supervision and teambuilding skills, workshops cover 6 different government Ministries and Departments’ employment programs. For more information on the Futures conference, please visit our website.

Remember, with an invitation from a First Work member, everyone can share member discounts. For a map of our members, click here.

First Work works in partnership with governments to achieve full employment for youth.
